Web: organize the direction
Use the web app to discover and save designs, upload images, manage collections, add notes, rate references, and review your Taste Profile. It is the documented starting point for the workflows in these guides.
Mac: capture and local context
Taste’s Mac product offers screenshot capture and local skill export for coding tools. A skill export is a snapshot: it is useful context, but it does not prove that a remote MCP connection is active or that the agent fetched the latest collection. Verify live access separately.
The native app is released independently of this web codebase. Use its current interface for capture and export settings.
iPhone: keep references close
The iPhone product is designed for uploading screenshots, browsing the library, and rating designs away from your desk. Use the web guides for the core concepts; exact controls and feature availability can vary with the installed app version.
Figma: two different paths
The Taste Figma plugin is for saving design work from the canvas. Figma Make can connect to Taste as a remote MCP source for context. Installing a capture plugin and authorizing an MCP connector are separate actions.
For Make, use the Figma instructions in the connection hub and verify by asking it to find a collection. Do not assume an image, annotation, or preview renders identically to a coding client.
Choose the shortest path
For a first project, start with a collection on the web and one verified AI connection. Add capture tools when they help you keep references you would otherwise lose.
